Excellent Holiday Home We have been using cottages for 20 years and this was one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in. Beds comfortable, furniture quality but lived in and suitable for a family. Everything you could need was there. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Garden not suitable for the very young or old but nice seated area at the side of the house that gets the sun. They even had lots of basic supplies should you forget anything - we had to use some of the flour as the shop had no bread 2 days in a row so do bring your supplies, we went lots of nice walks up to the Lochan ( very steep). Machrie standing stones and along the coast. We normally go to Whiting Bay/Kildonan but think we might be converted to this side of the island much quieter and very beautiful. Would definitely recommend this property. The Raeburn gives amazing heat even at low temperature and hot water all day and plenty for a bath no need to use the Immersion heater. There were 5 of us and lots of space for everyone. Seems expensive but when you take off the deposit it’s on a par with similar properties and definitely at the top of the range for comfort slept like a log! The bath room is upstairs so might be an issue for the very young or old. There are stair safety gates excellent for keeping your dog downstairs also! Hope to return and thanks xx
