Wonderful sea views and a three minute walk to the beach. Westfield is very comfortable and full of character but what we liked the most were the wonderful sea views. Mealtimes were a pleasure as we watched little fishing boats and the ever-changing Kintyre Peninsular. A three minute walk took us to the beach for a short stroll or we could follow the Arran coastal path over fascinating rock formations. A drive of ten or fifteen minutes took us to a wide range of walks - remote lochans, the King's Cave and the Fairy Dell. After a day in the fresh air it was lovely to get the wood burning stove going and relax . The house was really comfortable and attractive - wish I had a kitchen like that! Oh, and the head chef recommends a slow pot roast in the Rayburn! Wildlife notes: loads of seals, stags locking antlers on the golf course, an eagle being mobbed by ravens and possible otter footprints on the beach. A neighbour says he often sees otters in the field in front of the house. And two red squirrels in the back garden.
