We did have a very enjoyable week and we were most touched by your kind gift of flowers and wine. The house was very comfortable and we immediately felt at home there. The island was like a blend of the Lake District (Cumbria) and The Dales (Yorkshire) which we both love and we were lucky with the weather so Jeff could play golf and we could explore the little villages and just pootle along the beaches looking for treasure! The house is charming and very well equipped. I have never used a Rayburn before but found it very handy (warming up scones - perfect!) We bought home-cooked frozen meals so once defrosted, bang it in the oven and it slowly warmed right through. Exploring island - delightful. interesting geology. Spotted otter out in front of house. Trip to Kintyre Peninsula. All in all our first experience of Arran and Westfield has been a very enjoyable one. Thank you very much. - Pat. Lovely cottage & location.
