Our visit to Westfield exceeded all expectations. Louise and Simon have provided every possible comfort, the cottage is beautifully furnished and with oodles of character. Westfield had been prepared carefully for our arrival: the Rayburn was lit, the larder stocked with essentials, wine and chocolates on the table, logs by the wood burner, tea and coffee, herbs and spices... everything you could possibly need. As regular explorers of the island themselves, Louise and Simon are very knowledgeable about activities and places to visit. When we booked we were provided not only with lots of information about walks, cycle routes, beaches, tourist spots etc. but also advice about where to spot otters/ seals/ deer/ red squirrels; the best place to eat lobster (Creele’rs!) and where to go horse riding. Whatever your particular interest, do ask Louise and Simon and they will be able to help. We stayed at Westfield for a week and filled each day with a different activity, yet still found time to relax in beautiful surroundings. As our holiday came to an end we knew we wanted to return to explore further. The island is so beautiful and to see it in different seasons is now on our ‘to do ‘list in the future. To return to Westfield will feel like returning to see an old friend. Thank you so much Louise and Simon. You have created a real haven to feed the senses and the soul.
