Westfield – We’re GOOD to GO!
Covid 19 information for guests – 3rd July 2020 – IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
We are delighted to welcome visitors back to Westfield and we want the experience to be as safe as possible for you, our neighbours and the wider Arran community. We have completed appropriate online training for deep cleaning and we are certified “Good to go” under the Scottish and UK industry kite mark – details can be found at https://www.visitscotland.org/news/2020/launch-of-were-good-to-go
As part of our revised booking process, we are now requesting the names and addresses of all guests, in order that we can use this in the event of a track and trace exercise being required. Our new operations and cleaning arrangements based on agreed protocols between industry bodies such as the Association of Scottish Self Caterers https://www.assc.co.uk (ASSC), VisitScotland and the Scottish Government, have been put in place to ensure that your visit is as safe as possible. We have carried out an appropriate risk assessment and have implemented an enhanced cleaning and sanitising regime. Westfield will be deep-cleaned between visits, and disinfected with virucidal products, which limit the chance of transferring transmission between surfaces. Special attention will be paid to high touch areas – door handles, bannisters, light switches and remote controls etc. To further reduce the risk of contamination, please continue with government guidance on handwashing and maintaining cleanliness.
Bed Linen and towels are laundered at 60 degrees in order to eliminate potential viruses. Used crockery, cutlery and glasses are put through the dishwasher between visits. Additional cleaning materials will be left for guests use throughout their stay, but we would also recommend you bring your own soaps etc. to further prevent cross contamination. If you handle items such as Laminated Reference Manuals, DVD’s, toys and games, please wipe clean and leave out in one place at the end of your stay and they will be sanitised ready for the next guests. Westfield’s Guest information pack has been scanned – please ask if you wish to have a copy prior to your visit.
We would ask you all to bring and wear indoor shoes/slippers inside Westfield and leave all outdoor footwear just inside the front door.
Arriving at Westfield: To allow time for the additional cleaning protocols, please do not enter the property until 4:00pm. Check out is by 10am on the day of departure.
On leaving Westfield, we would ask guests to ensure that: some windows are left open to ventilate the house (if it is raining not the gable end windows please), beds are stripped and all bed linen and towels etc. placed in the black bin bags provided. Please take back opened food and other unused items. To assist our cleaning staff, please empty bins, bag all rubbish and waste and place in dustbins by the side gate. Please vacate Westfield by 10.00am latest.
There are COVID-19 related information posters in the house, but in the event of you or one of your party falling ill and displaying signs of the COVID-19 virus while staying in Westfield, you should inform our property manager, Colin Syme. He will advise on the next steps to take –
